Backup/Restore USR Files a DELUXE LTOOL which creates a backup or restores your Legacy *.usr files.




To backup or restore your Legacy \*.usr files:

  1. Shutdown Legacy.
  2. Open your Legacy database in _LTools_.
  3. Double-click Backup/Restore USR Files in the Deluxe LTools tree to bring up the dialog for this LTool.
  4. Select the folder that contains your \*.usr files - i.e. your Legacy Program Folder. This is where your working \*.usr files are located.
  5. Select a Backup Folder - i.e. the folder where _LTools_ will save the backup of your \*.usr files. This can be the same folder as your Legacy Program Folder.
  6. Click the Backup button to create a backup of your \*.usr files.
  7. Click the Restore button to recover your \*.usr files from a previous backup.

Select the folder where your \*.usr files are located. This should be the folder where you installed your copy of Legacy. Typically it would be C:\Legacy\ , C:\Legacy6\ , or C:\Legacy7\ . _LTools_ will make an effort to determine this location. This setting is "sticky".

Select the folder where you wish to save the backup of your \*.usr files. _LTools_ will initially set this folder to your default Legacy Program Folder, but you can change it to any folder you like. This setting is "sticky".

Click to create a backup of all \*.usr files in your Legacy Program Folder. The backup will be saved as an archive ( in your Backup Folder.

Click to recover your \*.usr files from a previous backup. The \*.usr files will be extracted from the archive ( in your Backup Folder and saved in your Legacy Program Folder.
